AZREIA is the only REIA in Arizona that is a certified official chapter of the National Real Estate Investors Association. 2. Free Monthly Meetings & Subgroups

These meetings are the heart and soul of AZREIA. Chapter meetings are held monthly in Phoenix and Tucson. Every month you have the opportunity to receive an in depth market update presentation, network with your fellow Investors and our Business Associates, and hear a guest speaker or panel of professionals. There is ample time set aside for networking. Many of our Business Associates elect to participate in a “trade show” like forum and host a table. There is no other organization in Arizona that brings individuals and organizations interested in investing in real estate together with the business community that supports them and this happens every month! Our desire is to understand issues or potential legislation that may affect real estate investing and communicate that information to our members. We plan for our collective voices to be heard on issue that affect our members. AZREIA has been recognized by National REIA on several occasions for the effectiveness of our lobbying efforts and overall Government Affairs Program.

VOTER VOICE

Every AZREIA member has access to the resources provided by the National REIA. One of these resources is VoterVoice. This program allows you to contact your legislators directly about proposed bills that could negatively affect your real estate investing business. 9. FREE Membership to National REIA

National REIA is a non-profit trade association that's been serving the real estate investing industry since 1985. They are a federation made up of local associations or investment clubs throughout the United States and represent local investor associations, property owner associations, apartment associations, and landlord associations on a national scale. As a national organization, they represent the interests of approximately 40,000 members across the U.S. As such, they are the largest broad based organization dedicated to the individual investor.

The National REIA holds all of it's REIA chapters under a strict code of ethics and measures that are annually evaluated to ensure the integrity of the REIAs. To be an affiliated chapter of the National REIA means that AZREIA agrees to and is recognized for it's ethical business practices and focus on helping the individual investor succeed.

National REIA is THE source for the independent real estate investment industry. Their key focus areas are legislation, education, administration/governance, information/communication, membership, and funding. Through national legislative efforts, daily news reporting, education, publications, and more, they provide an increadible amount of resources to all members of their affiliated chapters.

10. Community Programs to Give Back

AZREIA’s Community Program is designed to involve the association, its members and the broader real estate investing community in worthwhile community programs or projects that delivers a valuable service to the community, creates a “sense of community” within the AZREIA, provides value to our members that participate and promotes AZREIA’s positive vision and mission. Stardust Building Supplies, Superstition Community Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity are the ideal organizations for AZREIA to support and are worthy of your support as well.

Currently, AZREIA supports Stardust Building Supplies and the Superstition Community Food Bank. Historically, we have participated with Habitat for Humanity as an Adopt-A-Home Sponsor. We also hosted a COVID-19 updates page available to the public for landlords and renters to keep up-to-date on the eviction moratorium and financial assistance during the pandemic.

Maggie's Place

Each year in November we host an annual drive for the Maggie's Place charity. Maggie’s Place provides safe housing and a nurturing community for homeless pregnant women, empowering them to thrive throughout their lifetime. As hosuing providers, we understand the importance of providing safe and clean housing, so we partner with Maggie's Place each year to do a donation drive for the tenants of their housing so they can start a better life for themselves and their children and the charity has more money to go towards building more safe housing proerties for the people who need them.

Stardust Building Supplies

Many of our members support Stardust Building Supplies through utilization of their de-construction service. Rehabbers and contractors have an alternative to costly, time-consuming demolition with Stardust Deconstruction. Stardust provides free site demolition and removal to Phoenix-area rehabbers. When a rehabber is going into a new project he only needs to call Stardust Building Supplies. They will send out their own team of trained and skilled removal technicians, who will dismantle the project site and haul it away free of charge.

For example, let’s say you are going to install a new kitchen. All of the old kitchen’s fixtures need to be removed before the project can begin. Normally, they would be ripped out, tossed into dumpsters and carted off to local landfills. But, you call Stardust Building Supplies, this is what happens instead: their team arrives at the job-site and carefully removes all the old fixtures in the existing kitchen including countertops, cabinets, cabinet doors, hardware, flooring, stoves, ovens, refrigerators . . . they even take the kitchen sink.

The newly removed items are then brought to one of Stardust Building Supplies’ two locations where they are repaired, refurbished and cleaned. Then the items are placed for sale in the store, where they can be purchased at a fraction of the original cost and used by area landlords or homeowners in need. With Stardust Deconstruction services, you save valuable man-hours ripping out and removing a kitchen while hundreds of cubic feet of landfill space are conserved. Also, landlords and local residents in need of good-as-new, low-cost kitchen fixtures can now improve their homes for much less money.

They stripped the kitchen & both bathrooms and took doors & light fixtures that we wanted to replace. Then they hauled it all away, and it cost us nothing.
